Our homeowners insurance carriers did a drive-by for assessing our property for new coverage.   As a result, I had to install a railing for the stoop and stairs.  Apparently a 3 foot drop is unsafe.  And now Angela, Leo, and I have to eat in the doorway rather with our legs comfortably danging over the edge.  Things could be worse…    Either way it was not much fun doing the work in near zero conditions while it was getting done.

Regardless, the railing is temporary.  As soon as the inside is done, both stoops are coming off and being rebuilt!

Completed minus the railing.   It looks safe.
